IMPROVED DISH-STAND.
The Schedule referred to in these Letters Patent and making part of the same.
I, HORACE C.W1Lcox, of West Meriden, in the county of New Haven and State of Connecticut, have inventedA a new and useful Improvement in Dish- Stands,'for'use upon the table, of which the following isa specification.
Nature and objects of the Invention.
This invent-ion is designed to be an improvement upon the stand patented to Daniel Sherwood, of Lowell, Massachusetts, April 27, 1869, and assigned by him to Messrs. Woons, Srmnwoon & Co., of the same place, to whom also this invention is assigned VDescription of the Drawings.
Figure 1 is a top view of my improved stand. Figure 2 is a side view of the same, illustrating the manner in which the stand may be constructed to be of the desired height above the table, by the addition of legsto the base-ring.
General Description'.
The stand A is constructed of the form and in the manner claimed by the said Sherwood, and fully described in the Letters Patent granted to him as before recited.
The ring B is made of metal, of any suitable form, and is united to the stand A, at the points a a, by soldering or otherwise.
It may be engraved or stamped, or otherwise ornamented if desired, and maybe allowed to rest immediately upon the table, or, by the addition of legs b b secured t0 the ring, it may be raised further from the table, so that a spirit-lamp can be placed beneath the dish upon the stand to heat it.

I claim-as my invention- The combination with the dish-stand of the bed or ring, constructed substantially as and for thc purpose described and specified.
