TO ALL WIIOM IT MAY CONCERN:
Beit known that I, S. N. TitUMP, of' the city and county of Baltimore, and State of Maryland, have invented a new and improved Tea-Tray; and I do hereby declare that the following 'is a full, clear, and exact description of the construction and operation of the same, reference being had to the accompanying drawings, making a part of this specification, in which my invention is represented by a perspective view.
This invention consists in making the body of the tray of wood, either in a single piece, or in panels, and in extending a metallic rail nearly around its upper edge, the same being supported by short posts or, standards, and the whole resting on suitable legs. l
In the drawings, A indicates the body or bottom of the tray, composed either of one piece, or, asshown in the drawing, of several pieces, a a a, and having the recess A in the side next to the person carrying it, so as to enable it to be raised and supported in the hands more easily. Having thus described my invention, what I claim as new, and desire to secure by Letters Patent, isl As a new article of manufacture, a tea-tray, composed of the wooden body A, metallic rail B, standards C C, and feet D D, substantially as described.
