Abstract

A process for the preparation of double lithium-cobalt (II) triphosphate comprises the use of the melt of mechanical mixture of polycrystalline substances. The mechanical mixture of LiPOand NHHPOwith the corresponding mole ratio for the achievement of proportion of 1.0 mole of LiO – 2.0 mole of POis ground in agate mortar to homogeneous state. The produced mechanical mixture is baked in platinum crucible for 1 hour at temperature of 850 °C. The melt is saturated at mixing by lithium fluoride LiF (1.0 g) and held at temperature of 850 °C for 1 hour, then it is saturated by cobalt (II) oxide (1.0 g), held for 2 hours at temperature of 900 °C, mixed and crystallized by decreasing of temperature from 900 °C to 700 °C for 24 hours, the produced monocrystals of double triphosphate of LiCoPOof purple color are washed and dried at room temperature.
