Abstract

A process for the preparation of double lithium-nickel (II) orthophosphate comprises the use of melt of mechanical mixture of polycrystalline substances. A mechanical mixture of LiPOand NHHPOwith the corresponding mole ratio for the achievement of proportion of 1.0 mole of LiO – 2.0 mole of POis ground in agate mortar to homogeneous state. Prepared mechanical mixture is baked in platinum crucible for 1 hour at temperature of 850 °C, the melt is saturated at mixing by lithium fluoride LiF () and hold at temperature of 850 °C for 1 hour, after that it is saturated by nickel (II) oxide (), hold for 2 hours at temperature of 900 °C, the melt is mixed and crystallized by decreasing of temperature from 900 °C to 700 °C for 24 hours. Prepared monocrystals of LiNiPOdouble orthophosphate are washed out in water and dried at room temperature.
