Abstract

A process for the preparation of double sodium-nickel (II) trimetaphosphate comprises the use of the melt of mechanical mixture of polycrystalline substances. The mechanical mixture of NaPOand NHHPOwith the corresponding mole ratio for the achievement of proportion of 1.0 mole of NaO – 2.0 mole of POis ground in agate mortar to homogeneous state. The produced mechanical mixture is baked in platinum crucible for 1 hour at temperature of 850 °C, the melt is saturated at mixing by sodium fluoride NaF (1.0 g) and held at temperature of 850 °C for 1 hour. Then it is saturated by nickel (II) oxide (1.0 g), held for 2 hours at temperature of 900 °C, mixed and crystallized by decreasing of temperature from 900 °C to 700 °C for 24 hours. The produced monocrystals of double trimetaphosphate of NaNi(PO)are washed and dried at room temperature.
