Abstract

A process for the preparation of double potassium-nickel (II) dipyrotetrametaphosphate comprises the use of the melt of mechanical mixture of polycrystalline substances. The mechanical mixture of KPOand NHHPOwith the corresponding mole ratio for the achievement of proportion of 1.0 mole of KO – 2.0 mole of POis ground in agate mortar to homogeneous state. The produced mechanical mixture is baked in platinum crucible for 1 hour at temperature of 850 °C. The melt is saturated at mixing by potassium fluoride KF (2.0 g) and held at temperature of 850 °C for 1 hour, then it is saturated by nickel (II) oxide (2.0 g), held for 2 hours at temperature of 900 °C, mixed and crystallized by decreasing of temperature from 900 °C to 700 °C for 24 hours. The produced monocrystals of double dipyrotetrametaphosphate of KNi(PO)(PO)are washed by hydrochloric acid and dried at room temperature.
