Abstract

A shoe type braking device for railroad mobile facilities is intended for movement on the railway lines with different gauge of railway. The device contains for each wheel a brake rigging and, at least, one pair of brake shoes installed on both sides from the wheel. Shoes are equipped with shift and clamp like the jaws of the tread with at braking by brake rigging. Each of brake shoes is installed on the support connected with the frame with the help of the suspension ensuring the displacement of the brake shoe in the same plane as the wheel. Each brake shoe is adapted to the profile of wheel used on one or other railway line. Braking device contains shaft parallel to a pair of wheels. One of the sliding brake shoes called mobile shoe is installed with possibility of displacement throughout the entire length of the shaft between two positions: active, in which the shoe is located against the wheel, for which it is intended, and in standby position, in which it is distanced from active position.
