Abstract

Цей винахід стосується способу отримання динитротолуола реакцією азотної кислоти з толуолом. Спосіб об'єднує дві цілі, пов'язані з отриманням ДNТ, реакцією толуолу з азотною кислотою у відсутності сірчаної кислоти. Першою метою є зведення до мінімуму небезпеки вибуху, пов'язаної з такою реакцією. Другою метою є отримання ДNТ, що має значно зменшений вміст фенолового побічного продукту. Досягнення цієї двох цілей є вирішальним для успішної комерціалізації способу отримання ДNТ за допомогою азотної кислоти (на відміну від способу отримання за допомогою суміші азотної і сірчаної кислот) Вищенаведені цілі досягаються за специфічних умов реакції за допомогою використання молярного співвідношення азотної кислоти до толуолу понад 14:1 і такій концентрації кислоти, яка забезпечує ефективну концентрацію кислоти в продукті.
