Abstract
Un procedimiento para la preparación de ácido nítrico, en especial para su transformación posterior en abonos, con una concentración de 50 - 65 %, por compresión y absorción en agua de gases de reacción enfriados, que contienen óxidos de nitrógeno, que están bajo presión y que proceden de una combustión de amoníaco, caracterizado porque a) los gases de reacción enfriados son conducidos a una primera etapa de absorción en la columna de absorción a presión media, b) la presión de los gases de escape de la primera etapa de absorción es aumentada al menos por el factor de 1,8, c) los gases de escape comprimidos son conducidos a una segunda etapa de absorción en la columna de absorción a alta presión, después de enfriamiento por intercambio de calor con el gas residual procedente de la segunda etapa de absorción, d) el producto de colas de la primera etapa de absorción es conducido a la desgasificación de ácido, y e) el condensado de ácido del último enfriamiento de los gases de reacción es conducido como producto de cabezas a la primera etapa de absorción, conjuntamente con la totalidad o parte del producto de colas de la segunda etapa de absorción.
