Abstract

A method for manufacturing the provisional fixed constructions for correcting muscular and articular impairments in the gnathodental area provides for the individual modeling of the occlusion surface in the working patterns and cementing within the oral cavity. Upon the assessment of the interalveolar height and the central relation of the jaws and the individual parameters of the articulation, the casts of the dentitions are taken and the diagnostic models are prepared and plastered into the adjustable articulator. The movements of the mandible in three planes are reproduced, and the factors causing the functional impairments are found out. Then these factors are eliminated, and the normal occlusion relation is set with the aid of the wax in the adjustable articulator. The type of the orthopedic constructions is designed taking into account the extent of the lesions in the hard dental tissues. The optimal occlusion ratio is transferredwith the aid of the silicone duplicate mass. The plastic caps are manufactured; the plaster models are cast after the preparation of the teeth. The internal surface of the cup is isolated, filled with the acryl plastic mass, and fitted onto the working patterns. The residual plastic mass is removed in the area of the marginal periodontium, and the provisional constructions are fixed in the oral cavity.
