Abstract

A method for producing metals and alloys, in particular ferro-alloys, includes reducing of the grinded oxide material in the reducing zone, which contains coal, injection into the coal bed of oxygen or oxygen-containing gas, separation of coal particles from outgoing gases and supplying them with oxygen or oxygen-containing gas to the burners. With the purpose of development of processing capabilities, a reducing zone on a height consists of three stationary coal layers A, B, C. Oxygen or oxygen-containing gas is blown on a bound between the bottom layer A, consisting of gas-free coal, and middle layer B, in which above fine-grained oxide material is injected. Hot mixture from particles of coal and oxygen or oxygen-containing gas is introduced into the upper coal layer (C).
