Description

防水透氣織物及製造該織物的方法
此處之實施例係有關於防水透氣織物,尤其係有關於織物及製造一般可抗污染之防水透氣織物的方法,其中該污染可能降低織物之性能。
現今係將數種防水透氣膜、薄膜及材料積層於織物上來製作用於一般防水透氣外衣的織物,此種防水透氣材料之實例包括聚四氟乙烯(PTFE)及聚乙烯(PE)。此等防水透氣薄膜一般為親油性,故其等具有吸引污染物(如油、清潔劑等)之傾向,而此反而會堵塞薄膜之微孔。此污染物的影響將使薄膜更趨於親水性,如此便會顯著降低織物的防水性。於一進行之測試中,所述污染物係使防水性從21公尺水柱降至低於5公尺水柱。
防水透氣織物製造商已嚐試使用以下方法來解決此問題:將斥油性材料構成的膜塗佈於防水透氣薄膜的外露側,以防止所述孔洞堵塞。然而在某些程序中(如使用聚胺甲酸酯(PU)之程序),此實際上會堵塞微孔而普遍使得防水透氣織物成為非透氣性,並使織物的性能劣化。所述膜係於將防水透氣薄膜積層於織物前塗佈,如此將導致熔點不均且亦會影響實際上將防水透氣薄膜積層於織物上的能力。
為解決此問題,製造商已嚐試採用噴霧沉積技術(spray deposition technique)來將不同斥油性化學物塗佈於暴露的防水透氣層上。此雖可解決透氣性劣化的問題,惟在薄膜製作過程中亦需塗佈該材料而使得將薄膜充分積層於織物上的能力劣化,且未提供足夠的斥油性。
為了進一步增大防水透氣積層織物的防水性,通常係對織物的外表面實施耐用防水處理以進一步改善織物的排水性,藉此來改善其防水性。此程序係將經斥油性化學處理的防水透氣薄膜積層於織物上後,實施於一分離步驟中。
因此,所述任一場合中皆需數個步驟來製造防水透氣織物,如此將耗費時間及成本而最終使得織物的製造更為昂貴及繁複。
以下詳細敘述中,圖式為參考的一部分並以可實施的圖示實施例來表示之。應理解在不脫離本發明之範圍的情況下,可採用其他實施例並可進行結構或邏輯上的變化。因此,以下詳細敘述並非意圖予以限制,且實施例之範圍係由隨附的申請專利範圍及其相等內容來定義。
各種操作步驟可敘述為依序進行多個具體操作步驟,依此可有助於理解實施例;惟,敘述內容的順序不應解釋為暗示此等操作步驟係有先後順序的。

各種實施例中係提供防水透氣織物及製造該織物的方法。一例示實施例中係將防水透氣薄膜積層於織物的第一側,其後以處理劑該積層織物並使該經處理的織物固化。
處理劑可為化合物、溶液、混合物、乳化液(emulsion)等。該處理劑可包括斥油性(防油性)化合物及/或斥水性(防水性)化合物的至少一種。某些實施例中,該斥水性化合物可為耐用防水處理。某些實施例中,該處理劑可包括斥油性化合物及斥水性化合物兩者。該處理劑可藉由排斥油性物質及/或水性物質來對該織物提供保護。再者,相較於將處理化合物塗佈於處於未處理之膜狀態下的防水透氣薄膜上,以處理劑對該織物進行處理前將該防水透氣薄膜塗佈於該織物上可改善該防水透氣薄膜與該織物之間的鍵強度。
各種實施例中,該防水透氣薄膜可藉由任何適當方法來積層於該織物的第一側,其包括,但未限於熱膠點熔融法(hot glue dot melt process),其中係施予熱及壓力來實施積層。此種實施例中,所積層之織物能以一段足夠時間(如1~30分鐘)在夠高的溫度(如100~120℃)下固化,以確保該防水透氣薄膜與該織物之間形成有強力鍵結。於一實施例中,該防水透氣薄膜可為聚乙烯薄膜。某些實施例中,該織物的第一側可為該織物的內側,即該織物之面向由該織物製成之衣物成品內部的一側。此外,該織物的第一側可為該織物的相反/相對側。
各種實施例中只要織物上積層有防水透氣薄膜,則處理劑便可塗佈於積層織物上。該處理劑可由任何合適的塗佈器及程序來塗佈,例如使積層織物通過或沿著裝置而接觸一個或一個以上飽和有該處理劑的墊,及/或使積層織物通過含有該處理劑的浴器(bath)。該處理劑可塗佈於防水透氣薄膜的外露側(即該織物的第一側)、於與該第一側相反之該織物的第二側,或者於防水透氣薄膜的外露側及該織物的第二側兩者。該處理劑亦可塗佈於織物的一條或一條以上的邊緣。
該處理劑可配製成具防水性(斥水性)、防油性(斥油性)或兩者,據此該處理劑可包括斥水性化合物及斥油性化合物的至少一種。某些實施例中,該斥水性化合物及斥油性化合物可為同一化合物,即兼具斥水性及斥油性的化合物。於同一處理劑中兼具斥水性化合物及斥油性化合物可於同一程序中塗佈此等化合物。然,某些實施例中,可於分離的步驟中塗佈斥水性化合物及獨立的斥油性化合物。
各種實施例中,以處理劑對積層織物進行處理後可使經處理的織物固化。該經處理的織物可主動或被動固化。於一實施例中,可將該經處理的織物暴露於較高溫度下一段時間來使之固化。某些實施例中,該經處理的織物可於多個固化步驟中固化,例如首先將該經處理的織物暴露於較高溫度下一段較短的時間,其後再將該經處理的織物暴露於較低溫度下一段較長的時間。
根據各種實施例,第1圖係說明防水透氣薄膜10的剖面圖,該防水透氣薄膜10係使用膠點層14積層於織物12的第一側11而形成薄膜積層織物20。該第一側11可為織物12的內側。
各種實施例中,只要織物上充分積層有防水透氣薄膜,則積層織物20便能夠與配製成具防水性(斥水性)、防油性(斥油性)或兼具兩者的處理劑接觸。該處理劑可配置於防水透氣薄膜10的外露側16(即於織物12的第一側11)、第二側18(如外表面)或兩者。
第2圖係說明系統50,該系統50係以處理劑30來處理積層織物20以形成經處理的織物24,再使經處理的織物24固化。薄膜積層織物20可通過一個或一個以上飽和有處理劑30的飽和墊22,其中處理劑30係塗佈於積層織物20的單面側或雙面側而形成經處理的織物24。某些實施例中,可由其他塗佈器(如浴器)取代墊22(或除墊22外可使用其他塗佈器如浴器)來塗佈處理劑30。各種實施例中,可將充足的處理劑30配置於積層織物20上,以確保織物12及/或防水透氣薄膜10達充分飽和。
其後,經處理的織物24可通過一對由織物24除去過量處理劑30的滾筒26(夾持滾筒(nip rollers))。可採用其他過量化合物除去裝置及方法,其包括,但未限於吹風器(blowers)、重力分離(gravity)及震盪(vibration)。某些實施例中則無除去過量材料的必要。再者,於各種實施例中,可使織物多次通過相同的處理劑或多種不同的處理劑,以確保可達所要的處理水準。
經處理的織物24可接著通過第一固化裝置32(如固化烘箱32),其係設於特定的第一固化溫度以使處理劑30在積層織物20上固化。各種實施例中,烘箱32的第一固化溫度可設於以下溫度:低於聚乙烯之熔點及/或低於可使用之特殊防水透氣薄膜(如聚四氟乙烯)的熔點。一實施例中,該第一固化溫度的範圍可設為100℃~120℃左右,而於其他實施例中該第一固化溫度則可設於115℃左右。將該第一固化溫度設為低於防水透氣薄膜的熔點可有助於在固化過程中,確保防水透氣薄膜的性能特性未改變或者未受影響。各種實施例中,經處理的織物24能以第一固化時間(如1~30分鐘左右,特殊實施例中為3~10分鐘左右,如3~5分鐘左右)於烘箱32中固化。
某些實施例中,於固化烘箱32中使經處理的織物24固化後可將其傳送至第二固化裝置34(如熱腔室/熱室34),以完成固化程序。熱室34可設於第二固化溫度,其係高於正常環境溫度並低於第一固化溫度(如25℃與100℃左右之間,特殊實施例中為40℃與60℃左右之間)。經處理的織物24能以長於第一固化時間的第二固化時間停留於熱室34中,而該第二固化時間可因積層材料及處理劑30而異。各種實施例中,該第二固化時間可為1~3天左右,或某些實施例中為48小時左右。
某些實施例中,固化可實施於單一步驟中並保持恆溫一段時間。
各種實施例中,延長暴露在高於正常環境溫度而低於第一固化溫度的第二固化溫度下可確保所有的水及潤濕劑完全蒸發並可提供積層織物,該織物係以斥油性及/或斥水性層充分處理其單面側或雙面側。此外,所述暴露可確保處理劑與防水透氣積層織物之間形成有強力化學鍵。
於實施例中,高溫下進行固化使化學分子與樹脂快速取得位向而形成強力鍵結可能損及防水透氣膜。若非限於理論,則此可能為膜的熔點較低(對聚乙烯而言為130℃左右)之故。各種實施例中,使織物及膜在較低的溫度(如避免熔化防水透氣膜者)下通過固化烘箱可能需要較長的加熱時間,因此根據各種實施例,可於150℃下以2分鐘固化的化學物能夠於較低溫度下以一段較長的時間固化(如80℃下24小時)。
處理劑可包含數種旨在幫助增大積層織物之防油性及防水性的成分。一實施例中,處理劑可包括排水性或斥水性氟碳化物(fluorocarbon)、排油性或斥油性氟碳化物、交聯聚合物(crosslinking polymer)、潤濕劑及/或水。各種實施例中,緣於防水透氣薄膜的斥水性,所使用的潤濕劑其濃度範圍可為5%左右~35%左右,以助於確保帶有氟碳化物的水充分穿透防水透氣薄膜。各種實施例中,潤濕劑濃度可為20%左右。
於一實施例中,該處理劑之配方如下:
於一實施例中,斥油性氟碳化物可為例如AG-360,其為一種AsahiGuard製之氟類抗油抗脂劑(flourinated oil and grease resistant agent)。主要的斥水性氟碳化物可為斥水系氟碳化物,如Daikin Industries製之Unidyne TG-580或其他含有濃度高於5~10%之丙烯酸氟烷基酯共聚物的產品。某些實施例中,如TG-580,斥水性氟碳化物亦可含斥油性。各種實施例中,交聯聚合物可包括TP-10。潤濕劑則可為如Baytex international製之NE-T。
亦發現處理劑的pH值一般可保持於7或低於7,以確保處理劑可充分穿透。因此在各種實施例中,處理劑的pH值可為4左右~7左右。
各種實施例中,織物可為多層或單層。某些實施例中,織物可包括親水性層如經編織支持物(tricot backer)。此等實施例中,處理劑可在將親水性層塗佈於織物上後塗佈,以保護織物避免油性污染。

Claims (17)

  1. 一種製造防水透氣織物的方法,包含:將防水透氣薄膜積層於織物的第一側以形成積層織物,而保留該防水透氣薄膜的外露側;將處理劑塗佈於該積層織物上以形成經處理的織物,該處理劑包括斥水性化合物及斥油性化合物的至少一種,其中該處理劑包括濃度為10%至30%之潤濕劑;以及使該經處理的織物固化。
  2. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該處理劑包括該斥水性化合物及該斥油性化合物。
  3. 一種製造防水透氣織物的方法,包含:將防水透氣薄膜積層於織物的第一側以形成積層織物,而保留該防水透氣薄膜的外露側;將處理劑塗佈於該積層織物上以形成經處理的織物,其中該處理劑包括斥水性氟碳化物、斥油性氟碳化物、交聯聚合物、潤濕劑及水;以及使該經處理的織物固化。
  4. 如申請專利範圍第3項之方法,其中該斥水性氟碳化物的濃度範圍為5%~20%、該斥油性氟碳化物的濃度範圍為5%~15%、該交聯聚合物的濃度範圍為5%或更少、該潤濕劑的濃度範圍10%~30%為且該水的濃度範圍為35%~75%。
  5. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該處理劑係塗佈於該防水透氣薄膜的該外露側。
  6. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該處理劑係塗佈於該積層織物中與該第一側相反的第二側。
  7. 如申請專利範圍第6項之方法,其中該處理劑係塗佈於該防水透氣薄膜的該外露側及該積層織物的該第二側兩者。
  8. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該固化係包含以一固化時間使該經處理的織物處於固化溫度下,該固化溫度係低於該防水透氣薄膜的熔點。
  9. 如申請專利範圍第8項之方法,其中該固化溫度範圍為100℃~120℃,而該固化時間範圍為1~30分鐘。
  10. 如申請專利範圍第8項之方法,其中該固化溫度範圍為40℃~60℃,而該固化時間範圍為1~3天。
  11. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該固化包含將該經處理的織物置於該第一固化裝置中,以便以第一固化時間將該經處理的織物暴露於第一固化溫度下;以及在置於第一固化裝置後將該經處理的織物置於第二固化裝置中,以便以第二固化時間將該經處理的織物暴露於第二固化溫度下,該第二固化溫度係低於該第一固化溫度且該第二固化時間係長於該第一固化時間。
  12. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該處理劑的pH值係介於4~7之間。
  13. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該塗佈包含使該積層織物通過一個或一個以上飽和有該處理劑的墊。
  14. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中進一步包含使該經處理的織物通過一個或一個以上除去裝置,以使該經處理的織物固化前移除過量的處理劑。
  15. 如申請專利範圍第14項之方法,其中該一個或一個以上除去裝置包含一個或一個以上滾筒。
  16. 如申請專利範圍第1項之方法,其中該處理劑進一步包括濃度為5% 至15%之該斥油性化合物。
  17. 如申請專利範圍第16項之方法,其中該處理劑進一步包括濃度為5%至20%之該斥水性化合物。
