1261605 五、發明說明(1) 【發明所屬之技術領域】 - 本發明係有關於一種作為光記錄媒體記錄用之染料; 特別是有關於一種具有光化學穩定性、熱化學穩定性、高 榮光量子效率且於波長在300〜800 n in之可見光有極大吸收 的染料組成物,可用於光記錄媒體中形成一記錄層 (recording layer) 。 【先前技術】 隨著時代的進步,需要大量資訊的流通,而大量資訊 的流通需要一個儲存密度更高、更小型化,而製作成本更 低的儲存媒體,早期的磁性儲存媒體已不敷所需,而光學 記憶儲存材料則為研究開發的目標,隨著DVD不斷地研究 與發展,如今已將碟片單面單層的儲存容量提昇至4.7 GB。目前結合有機合成化學及光化學的機能性色素,正積 極地利用了光的特性,作為各種工業開發利用,包括非線 性光學元件、光碟資料之記錄與顯示、光阻、熱/光/電 感測與指示劑、能量之轉換與儲存、以及醫療與生物。 僅寫一次型儲存光碟(WORM)可以讓使用者錄製自己 的資料,可是一旦存入後就不能擦拭原有的資料,僅能讀 取。在早期的研究過程中,大都使用低熔點之金屬作為記 錄層的材料,如B i、R e、T e或是其合金,或是半金屬薄 膜,例如·· Pb-Te-Se、TeOx、Te-0-Pd。直到 1 9 9 7年由日 本太陽誘電公司,發表了一種利用有機染料作為記錄層材

第21頁 1261605_ 五、發明說明(15) 一片厚度為〇. 6 mm之空白PC基板貼合起來,即可獲得一厚 度為120 mm之高密度可錄式光碟片(HD-DVDR),其中上 述貼合方式可以是旋轉塗佈法、網印法、熱融膠法。 實施例5 FMD-ROM碟片製作 以下所述之實施例5,係敘述化合物(I I - 2 3 )用於螢 光光碟片的製造方法。將上述之化合物(I I - 2 3 )製成螢光 薄膜以測量其性質。首先,將化合物(II - 2 3 )溶解於高分 子溶液中以形成體積莫耳濃度1 0 - 3 Μ之染料溶液,此高分 子溶液係為含有5. 0重量百分率(w t %)聚乙烯醇縮丁醛 (polyvinyl butyral; PVB)之丙二醇甲醚(propylene g 1 yco 1 monomethy 1 ether ; PM)。然後,利用塗佈方 式,將染料溶液塗佈於唯讀型基板(^DVD-ROM基板)成膜 並進行烘乾製程,以形成一螢光記錄層薄膜。
經由波長為4 0 5 n m的藍光雷射激發,則可得出具有明 暗交錯的綠光亮點圖(如第五圖所示),此明暗差異即是 由於螢光光強的強弱所致,於是藉由此明暗亮點,即可作 為〇與1的資料編碼。第六圖所繪示為第五圖中的白色線段 所經之處之螢光強度分佈圖。由第六圖可清楚對照於第五 圖所示,亮點區具有較強的螢光,暗點區螢光光強則相對 較弱,其螢光光強對比值約為6 2. 5 %。此處需特別說明的 是,螢光光強對比值定義為:(亮點之螢光光強一暗點之 螢光光強)+亮點之螢光光強。 1261605 五、發明說明(16) Φ 綜上所述,本發明的染料在波長為;I = 3 0 0〜8 0 0 nm之 紫外與可見光區具有相當強的吸收係數、高敏感度及高倍 數記錄等特質,因而具有相當高的記錄感度及訊號/雜訊 比(S/N rat io),故非常適合作為光學記錄儲存材料。 此外,本發明的染料可溶解於醇類、酮類、酯類、醚類、 鹵素化合物、或醯胺等有機溶劑中,因此利用簡單的塗佈 方式,例如:噴佈、滾壓塗佈、含浸、或旋轉塗佈等方 法,即可將其塗佈在基板上。此外,本發明的染料除了可 作為光學記憶儲存材料,亦可將其應用於積體電路之光 阻、紡織之纖維染色、複寫及印刷等用途上。 雖然本發明已以若干較佳實施例揭露如上,然其並非 用以限定本發明,任何熟習此技藝者,在不脫離本發明之 精神和範圍内,當可作些許之更動與潤飾,因此本發明之 保護範圍當視後附之申請專利範圍所界定者為準。
