Abstract

A device for performing signal transmission between chip sets, in which the chip set includes one first chip and one second chip, comprises of: one phase control signal line; one synchronous clock signal line; one master control unit coupled to the phase control signal line and the synchronous clock signal line for generating transfer phase signal, synchronous clock signal, one master output control signal and one master input control signal, and outputting the transfer phase signal and the synchronous clock signal independently via the phase control signal line and the synchronous clock signal line; one slave control unit coupled to the master unit via the phase control signal line and the synchronous clock signal line, for receiving the transfer phase signal and the synchronous clock signal, then generating one slave output control signal and one slave input control signal; one data signal line for transmitting data; one master output encoding unit coupled to the master control unit and the data signal line, for generating one transfer request signal to the master control unit, instructing the master control unit to generate the transfer phase signal and the synchronous clock signal, and receiving the master output control signal, outputting data via the data signal line; one master input decoding unit coupled to the master control unit and the data signal line, for receiving the master input control signal, receiving data via the data signal line; one slave output encoding unit coupled to the master control unit, the master control unit and the data signal line, for receiving the slave output control signal, outputting data via the data signal line, and generating the transfer request signal to the master control unit, instructing the master control unit to generate the transfer phase signal and the synchronous clock signal; one slave input decoding unit coupled to the master control unit and the data signal line, for receiving the slave input control signal, receiving data via the data signal line.
