Abstract
A signal transmission apparatus for use in the data transmission in which the transmission clock signal sets up the transfer rate, and data is transmitted from a transmitter unit to a receiver unit via a transmission line, the receiver unit will generate a clock signal based on the received signal and receives the transmitted data, in which: the said transmission line includes a pair of signal lines; the transmitter unit has a output circuit which converts the transmission data into a pair of mutual compensation signal and delivers them to the transmission line, and in response to a request signal transmitted from the receiver unit, delivers a reference clock signal to the transmission line instead of the transmission data; and the receiver unit has a clock reproducing circuit generates a clock signal in response to the reference clock signal via the transmission line; based on the comparison of a clock signal rate of the clock reproducing circuit and a signal rate on the transmission line, a request signal output circuit outputs a similar request signal to the transmission line.
