本發明揭示化合物、有機光電裝置以及顯示裝置。
有機光電裝置為將電能轉換成光能之裝置,且亦為將光能轉換成電能之裝置。
有機光電裝置可根據其驅動原理分類如下。一種為光電裝置,其中激子藉由光能產生,分離成電子及電洞且電子及電洞傳遞至不同電極以產生電能;且另一種為發光裝置,其中將電壓或電流供應至電極以自電能產生光能。
有機光電裝置之實例可為有機光電裝置、有機發光二極體、有機太陽能電池以及有機感光鼓。
其中,有機發光二極體(organic light emitting diode;OLED)近來已由於對平板顯示器之要求增加而獲得關注。此類有機發光二極體藉由施加電流至有機發光材料而將電能轉換成光。其具有在陽極與陰極之間插入有機層之結構。在本文中,有機層可包含發射層及視情況存在之輔助層,且輔助層可包含例如選自
電洞注入層、電洞傳輸層、電子阻擋層、電子傳輸層、電子注入層以及電洞阻擋層中之至少一者以便增加有機發光二極體之效率及穩定性。
有機發光二極體之效能可受有機層之特徵影響,且其中,可主要受有機層之有機材料的特徵影響。
具體言之,需要開發能夠增加電洞及電子遷移率且同時增加電化學穩定性的有機材料,使得有機發光二極體可應用於大規模平板顯示器。
提供用於有機光電裝置之化合物,所述化合物能夠實現有機光電裝置具有諸如高效率、長使用壽命以及其類似物之特徵。
提供有機光電裝置及包含用於有機光電裝置之化合物的顯示裝置。

根據本發明之一個實施例的化合物具有吖啶衍生物與6員環稠合之結構,且因此可調整分子內部電洞及電子之流動,且藉由使用所述化合物製造之有機光電裝置可在低電壓下操作以及具有高效率及長使用壽命。
詳言之,所述化合物具有極好的電荷傳輸且與摻雜劑之吸收光譜充分重疊,且因此可使諸如高效率、長使用壽命以及在低電壓下操作之特徵最大化。
特定言之,X2至X10中之至少一者可為N。

作為根據本發明之化合物之特定實例的化合物B-17經由以下四個步驟來合成。
將39.0克(195.9毫莫耳)2,4-二氯喹唑啉、53.7克(215.5毫莫耳)4,4,5,5-四甲基-2-(2-硝基苯基)1,3,2-二氧雜硼戊烷、67.7克(489.9毫莫耳)碳酸鉀以及11.3克(9.8毫莫耳)四(三苯基膦)鈀添加至2000毫升燒瓶中之650毫升1,4-二噁烷及300毫升水中,且隨後在氮氣流下,在60℃下加熱混合物12小時。將所獲得之混合物添加至2000毫升甲醇中,將其中結晶之固體過濾且隨後溶解於單氯苯中並用矽膠/矽藻土再次過濾,且在自其中移除適量有機溶劑後,使用甲醇進行再結晶,獲得中間物L-1(29.1克,51%之產率)。

如表1中所示,由於模擬中所需HOMO/LUMO能階(HOMO為-5.0至-5.5且LUMO為-1.4至-2.2)充分展示電子傳輸特徵,比較例1滿足HOMO能階但未滿足LUMO能階,且因此與實例1、實例2以及實例3相比,展示電洞與電子之間的不平衡。
本發明之化合物與比較例1相比具有適當能階,且因此預期展示極好的效率及使用壽命。
藉由使用實例1之化合物B-17作為主體及(piq)2Ir(acac)作為摻雜劑來製造有機發光二極體。
使用1000埃厚的ITO作為陽極,且使用1000埃厚的鋁
(Al)作為陰極。特定言之,說明一種製造有機發光二極體之方法,陽極是藉由將具有15歐姆/平方公分薄層電阻之ITO玻璃基板切割成50毫米×50毫米×0.7毫米之尺寸,將其分別在丙酮、異丙醇以及純水中超音波清潔15分鐘且將其紫外線臭氧清潔30分鐘來製造。
在基板上,藉由在650×10-7帕真空度下以0.1至0.3奈米/秒之沈積速率沈積N4,N4'-二(萘-1-基)-N4,N4'-二苯基聯苯-4,4'-二胺(NPB)形成800埃厚的電洞傳輸層(HTL)。隨後,藉由在相同真空沈積條件下使用實例1之化合物B-17形成300埃厚的發射層,且在本文中,同時沈積磷光摻雜劑(piq)2Ir(acac)。在本文中,以發射層總重量之100重量%計,藉由調節沈積速率沈積3重量%磷光摻雜劑。
在發射層上,藉由在相同真空沈積條件下沈積雙(2-甲基-8-喹啉)-4-(苯基苯酚)鋁(BAlq)形成50埃厚的電洞阻擋層。隨後,藉由在相同真空沈積條件下沈積Alq3形成200埃厚的電子傳輸層(ETL)。在電子傳輸層(ETL)上,藉由依次沈積LiF及Al形成陰極,從而製造有機光電裝置。
有機光電裝置之結構為ITO/NPB(80奈米)/EML(B-17(97重量%)+(piq)2Ir(acac)(3重量%),30奈米)/Balq(5奈米)/Alq3 20奈米/LiF(1奈米)/Al(100奈米)。
除使用實例2之化合物B-33代替實例4之化合物B-17以外,根據與實例4相同之方法製造有機發光二極體。
除使用實例3之化合物A-105代替實例4之化合物B-17以外,根據與實例4相同之方法製造有機發光二極體。
除使用以下結構之CBP代替實例4之化合物B-17以外,根據與實例4相同之方法製造有機發光二極體。
用於製造有機發光二極體之NPB、BAlq、CBP以及(piq)2Ir(acac)之結構如下。
量測根據實例4、實例5、實例6以及比較例2之各有機發光二極體視電壓及發光效率而定的電流密度及亮度變化。
特定言之,在以下方法中進行量測,且結果提供於下表2中。
使用電流-電壓計(吉時利2400(Keithley 2400))在使電壓自0伏增加至10伏的同時,量測所製造之有機發光二極體的單元裝置中流動的電流值,且所量測之電流值除以面積,得出結果。
使用亮度計(美能達Cs-1000A(Minolta Cs-1000A))在使電壓自0伏增加至10伏的同時,關於亮度量測所製造之有機發光二極體的亮度。
藉由使用項目(1)及(2)之亮度、電流密度以及電壓(伏)計算在相同電流密度(10毫安/平方公分)下之電流效率(cd/A)。
藉由在亮度(cd/m2)保持在5000cd/m2的同時量測直至電流效率(cd/A)降至90%消耗的時間來獲得使用壽命。
參照表2,根據實例4至實例6之綠色有機發光二極體與比較例2相比,展示明顯改良的驅動電壓、發光效率及/或功率效率。
儘管已結合目前視為實用例示性實施例之內容來描述本發明,但應理解本發明不限於所揭示之實施例,而相反地,本發明意欲涵蓋包含在所附申請專利範圍之精神及範疇內的各種修改及等效配置。因此,上述實施例應理解為例示性的但不以任何方式限制本發明。
