Abstract
一種開放耳式夾具,具有一束緊結構呈一所謂奧提克(Oetiker)耳的形式。為方便該夾具安裝於一管子上,該夾具會在事前,例如當製造時,被預先變形至某一程度,以使該夾具包圍其要被用的管子,而實質上沒有餘隙。由於該夾具藉此變形所造成的彈性,該夾具仍可被容易地移至該管子上的安裝位置,但會被保持在其之該位置且在所需的定向。
Description
本發明係有關於一種耳式夾具。
耳式夾具,譬如由US 4,711,001專利所知者,係用於緊密地連接一管子及一插入該管子之一端內的物體,例如一彎曲的金屬管。該已知的耳式夾具係由一夾緊帶製成,其中有一耳狀的束緊結構具有二向外伸出的腳被一腹板互接者會被形成。
當組裝時會有一困難,即該夾具於束緊時必須被保持在其安裝位置。此困難在當該管子具有一光滑表面時,如同實際上使用於水管行業中的材料,譬如PEX(交鏈的聚乙烯),或當該管子垂直延伸時,係特別地大,且在人工組裝和縮限的安裝空間時,會特別地麻煩不便。
由於存在於該等夾具本身和所使用的管子兩者中之不可避免的容差,任何欲使該夾具的內徑完全地適配於該管子之外徑的企圖皆會失敗。即使小心地製造通常亦會在該夾具的內徑與該夾具要被使用的管子之外徑間留下一至少1mm的餘隙。
US 3,235,925 A和US 4,222,155 A專利揭露另外
的耳式夾具。此等文件的圖式示出該等夾具在非束緊狀態時包圍著該管子已經沒有餘隙。但是,該等圖式是理想化的呈現,其並未示出該軟管夾具在實際使用時的情況。說明於上的問題亦會存在於此。
本發明之一概括目的係要避免上述的困難至少至某種程度。一較具體的目的可視為在於提供一種一管子與一用以對抵一插入該管子中的物體來密封該管子之耳式夾具的組合,以及一種藉由一耳式夾具對抵該物體來密封一管子的方法,其中該組裝是方便的。
此目的係可藉分別界定於請求項1和請求項2中的發明來達成。在本發明中,該耳狀束緊結構,其本身是已知者,具有雙重目的,即首先可藉預先變形該耳一較好是在製造時完成一使該夾具的直徑適配於該管子的直徑,及嗣後在安裝狀態時來束緊該夾具。藉該預先變形的耳部,其彈性會被利用,即當組裝時該耳部能被移至所需位置,雖然其已定位於該管子甚為緊固而不能非刻意地滑移。

本發明現將被參照圖式更詳細地說明,該等圖式示出一耳式夾具在封閉但尚未束緊狀態時的截面,其中:圖1有關於一傳統的耳式夾具;及圖2有關於一依據本發明之一實施例的耳式夾具。
在圖1和圖2中所示的耳式夾具係由一夾緊帶10所製成,其由具有一窗孔(未示出)的外端11開始,具有一束緊結構呈一所謂”奧提克(Oetiker)耳”12的形式具有二徑向朝外伸出的腳13和一腹板14互接該等腳的外端,一向內突出的階部15,及一鈎16其在所示的封閉狀態時會穿過該外夾緊帶端中的窗孔。一凹部被壓印於該耳12的腹板14中以防止皺曲。於該二圖中,該耳式夾具會在一位置包圍一管子20,在該處有一物體(未示出),譬如一彎曲的金屬管,被插入該管子中。
在圖1所示的傳統例中,有一至少1mm的餘隙在該耳式夾具的內徑與該管子20的外徑之間,該耳式夾具係要用於該管子者,以確保不論該管子20和該夾具本身的尺寸容差如何,該夾具皆能被沿該管子移動至該物體插入該管子的區域中之所需的安裝位置。在此位置時,該夾具則會被例如使用一鉗式夾緊工具藉窄縮該耳12來環繞該管子20束緊。以在該管子和該物體之間形成一密封連接。
因為該耳式夾具包圍該管子20留有餘隙,故於該束緊過程中其必須被定位保持在該安裝位置。此乃是麻煩的尤其在人工組裝時,因必須將該管子和插入的物體彼此相對保持在所需位置。
在束緊該夾具時的處理困難度於當該管子20具有一光滑表面時會特別地大,例如時常使用於水管行業的聚乙烯(PEX)材料者,且尤其是當該管子在該組裝位置垂直
地延伸時。
上述困難在圖2所示的耳式夾具中會被免除。於此,該耳12係在將該夾具置於管子10上之前被預先變形至某一程度,以使該夾具包圍該管子而沒有餘隙。該預先變形,較好係在該夾具的製造過程期間完成,其能被輕易地進行而使該預先變形耳所賦予的彈性能允許該夾具被放在該管子上,並能被容易移到該安裝位置,但會將該夾具保持在此位置,且在該耳12可適於束緊的定向。

Claims (3)
- 一管子與一用以對抵一插入該管子中之物體來密封該管子的耳式夾具之一種組合,其中該耳式夾具具有一夾緊帶,其中具有二向外伸出的腳被一腹板互接的耳狀束緊裝置會被形成;特徴在於:該束緊裝置,在運送狀態時,係被預先變形成使該耳式夾具實質上沒有餘隙地套合於該管子上。
- 一種藉一耳式夾具有對抵一要被插入一管子中之物體來密封該管子的方法,該耳式夾具具有一夾緊帶,其中具有二向外伸出的腳被一腹板互接的耳狀束緊裝置會被形成;特徴在於:該束緊裝置在該耳式夾具安裝於該管子上之前會被預先變形成使該耳式夾具實質上沒有餘隙地套合於該管子上;當安裝時該夾具係被移至該管子上的所需位置;及該夾具係藉該束緊裝置的進一步變形直到獲得所需的夾緊壓力而被束緊。
- 如請求項2之方法,其中該束緊裝置的預先變形係在該夾具的製造過程中完成。
