Abstract
It is an object of the invention to provide a heat treatment apparatus that prevents leakage of gases from a first soaking area to other areas in a transport path in order to maintain a high level of cleanliness throughout the transport path. A plurality of exhaust boxes 6 and a plurality of first conduits 7 are provided in a first heating-up area 51, and a first soaking area 52, of a transport path 5. Through the boxes 6, gas emissions from a heating object heated in the area 52 are discharged outside. The conduits 7 allow clean air to enter the area 51. A plurality of second conduits 4 are provided in other areas of the path 7, i.e., in a second heating-up area 53, a second soaking area 54, a slow cooling area 55, and a cooling area 56. With the length thereof oriented perpendicular to the path 5, the conduits 4 are located above transport rollers 2. The conduits 4 allow clean air to enter the other areas.
