Abstract
Bu buluş, Cucumis familyasının ve özellikle Cucumis melo genlerini sağlayan mildiyö direnci ile ilgili olup, ki burada söz konusu direnç, mildiyö direnci mevcut genlerin bozulmasıyla sağlanır. Ayrıca, mevcut buluş, mevcut bozulmuş direnç kazandırıcı genleri ve tohumları, embriyoları veya bunların diğer çoğaltma materyallerini içeren bitkiler ile ilgilidir. Özellikle mevcut buluş, mildiyö direnci veren genlere ilişkin olup, adı geçen direnç veren gen tarafından kodlanan amino asit dizisi, SEQ ID No. 2, SEQ ID No. 4, SEQ ID No. 6, SEQ ID No. 8, SEQ ID No. 10, SEQ ID No. 12 ve SEQ ID No. 14, 15 ve % 70'ten fazla özdeşlik, tercihen % 80'den fazla özdeşlik, daha tercihen % 90'dan fazla özdeşlik ve en çok tercih edilen haliyle % 95'ten fazla özdeşlik içeren amino asit dizilerinden oluşan gruptan seçilir.
