Isil isleme elverisli bir dikroik ayna olup, 650-800 C araliginda bir cam geçis sicakligina sahip bir transparan substrati (12) ve bu substrat üzerinde tasinan ve en az iki bitisik film çifti meydana getiren birçok püskürtülmüs filmi (14, 16, 18) içerir, her bir çifte ait filmler, aralarinda bir kirilma ara-yüzü (22) saglanacak sekilde en az yaklasik 0.2 kadar farkli kirilma indislerine sahiptir. Söz konusu ayna isil isleme tabi tutulduktan sonra, 550-650 nm dalga boyu araliginda en az %24 oraninda bir geçirgenlik, en az %45 oraninda bir yansitma ve en fazla yaklasik %1 oraninda bir pus içerigi sergiler.
