Description

CAST TOOL CHROMO-TITANIUM ALLOY ON IRON BASE

Cast instrumentamenta.kovye chrome-titanium s.chavyy on iron (Hiove known.

Кроме того, в состав сплава можно донолнительно вводить 2-5% никел .The proposed tool alloy is characterized in that it contains 1.5-3.5% carbon, 8-15% chromium and 2.5-5.5% titanium. In addition, 2-5% nickel can be added to the alloy composition.

The alloy doped with titanium and chromium is distinguished by high hardness and wear resistance due to the combined presence of titanium and carbon and the presence of a high content of the latter and the formation of titanium and chromium carbides in the process. The alloy has good casting and alloying properties.

The alloy is smelted in electric mains. The casting is made into detachable cast iron chill molds in the form of plates, bars and solid tools and parts, as well as in the form of cast rods (electrode.c) for gas and electric heating.

The alloy is used for the manufacture of various cutting tools, as well as for the reinforcement of various wearing parts. At the upper limit of carbon and alloying elements, the alloy does not require heat treatment and can be applied directly in the cast or weld state; The lower limit of the alloy is subjected to heat treatment.
