Description

It is known to use in the production of chipboard as a binder resin obtained by the condensation of total or heavy phenols, xylenols formed during the gasification of brown coal, shale, peat and wood, as well as from the production of synthetic phenol with formaldehyde.

A method is proposed for producing chipboard boards, in which a toluene-phenol-formaldehyde resin is used as a binder obtained by condensation of a phenol-containing oxygen-containing toluene resin with subsequent processing with formaldehyde in an alkaline medium. The sodium salt of the bottoms from the production of synthetic fatty acids is used as a hydrophobic additive.

The proposed method differs from the known ones in that a toluene-phenol-formaldehyde resin is used as a binder.

Example 1. 100 parts by weight of oxygen-containing toluene aldehyde resin obtained by condensation of one mole of toluene with two mols of formaldehyde when heated with 50% sulfuric acid, after distillation of the volatile condensation products in vacuum; is mixed with an equal amount of phenol and heated at 160--180 ° in the presence of small amounts of hydrochloric acid or other acidic catalysts (aromatic sulfonic acids, sulfonic chlorides, benzyl chloride, etc.) until the reaction product releases to the termination of the resulting reaction product, soda zhaschemu certain amount of free phenol, was added n 1elochnoy catalyst (sodium hydroxide, water and s miachnuyu t. d.) and 130 weight stripes 30% formalin. The mixture is heated at 90-100 ° for 1.5 hours, after which it is diluted with 150 parts of an 8% aqueous solution of caustic soda. The resulting resin of the rezol type is stable in storage and is used to produce
