Description

It is known that one of the methods of obtaining oil-soluble artificial resins is the method of condensation of alkylphenols with formaldehyde. These resins have a full resistancelessness in oils, light color and high chemical resistance, as well as light resistance. Under the resin of the resin, they are known nowadays both abroad and in the USSR.

The inventors have found that oil soluble, bold products can be obtained on the basis of other substitutable phenols as well, which will significantly expand the raw material base for the production of such products. In particular, it has been found that certain acidic fractions of peat brown coal or wood resins, called "phenols" and consisting of a complex mixture of f.aols, cresols, xylenols, their esters and other higher phenols, can be used for such a reaction.

The above substances can be converted by treatment with chlorides of tertiary alcohols (butyl amyl chlorides, or mixtures thereof) into the corresponding alkyl phenols. The latter can condense with formaldehyde in the presence of acidic or alkaline catalysts.

The reaction product is washed with water or neutralized and dried in vacuo. The result is a solid resin, completely dissolved in flax oil.

После 2-3-часового нагревани  при перемешивании продукт реакции отмывают водой и сушат в вакууме при температуре 120° и при 20-40 лш остаточного давлени .Example 1. 75 parts of peat alkylphenols are condensed from 141 parts of DZ / th formalin in the presence of 2-lOVo HC (counting on alkylphenols). After heating for 2-3 hours with stirring, the reaction product is washed with water and dried in vacuo at a temperature of 120 ° C and at 20-40 lsh of residual pressure.

П р и м е р 2. 100 ч. PRI mme R 2. 100 parts of peat alkyl phenols are condensed from 130 parts of formalin (30 / o-th) in the presence of 1 - 40/0 NaOH. After 6-8 hours of heating and stirring at 91-100 °, the reaction product is neutralized, washed and dried under vacuum.

Г редмет изобретени .Inventory.

Способ получени  фенолальдегидных смол на основе алкилфенолов, отличающийс  тем, что в качестве последних примен ют смесь алкилфено .:юв из торф ных, буроугольных или древесных смол и конденсируют ее с формальдегидом обычными способами .The method of producing phenol-aldehyde resins based on alkylphenols, characterized in that the latter use a mixture of alkylpheno.: Sew from peat, brown coal or wood resins and condense it with formaldehyde using conventional methods.
