Abstract
FIELD: laser engineering. SUBSTANCE: active element has working cavity with main electrodes and ballast tank with auxiliary electrode; novelty is that ballast tank communicates with working cavity on main electrode side; main electrode has same polarity as auxiliary electrode; the latter is connected through voltage regulator to other main electrode; ballast tank volume makes up at least 80% of active element volume. EFFECT: provision for self-control of gas pressure, reduced warm-up period, improved reliability of laser active element.
