Abstract

Izum se nanaša na eno ali več kapljic kiralnega tekočega kristala, ki služijo kot točkasti izvori laserske svetlobe. Izvor je v obliki kapljice kiralnega tekočega kristala in aktivnega medija, ki je dispergiran v tekočem kristalu. Izvor je krogelne oblike in velikosti med nekaj nanometri in 100 mikrometri. Kapljica je sestavljena iz kiralnega tekočega kristala, ki ima selektivni odboj svetlobe v območju emisije aktivnega medija in je lahko holesterični tekoči kristal, mešanica nematskega tekočega kristala in kiralnega dopanta ali kot druga kiralna tekočekristalna faza, prednostno modra faza, feroelektrična faza ali druga kiralna faze mehke snovi.
