Abstract
A removal cycle including a step of placing a glass plate onto a placing platform and a step of separating it therefrom is carried out repeatedly at least until an increase in the absolute value of the surface potential according to an increase in the number of times of the removal cycles continues, when i) the removal cycle further is carried out repeatedly until the surface potential of the glass plate reaches a saturated charge potential, and thereby the absolute value of the saturated charge potential is smaller than a reference value A, or when ii) a value obtained by dividing the amount of an increase in the absolute value of the surface potential over a period during which an increase in the absolute value of the surface potential continues, by the number of times of the removal cycles that are carried out during the period is smaller than a reference value B. the glass plate is evaluated as having lower electrostatic properties.
