Abstract

A pulverulent mixture of crushed household garbage and a mineral matter containing ‎calcium oxide is prepared , the thus obtained mixture is compressed under a pressure of ‎‎150 to 900 bars to form cylindrical bodies, these bodies are then subjected to drying and ‎hardening treatment by passing through a rotatable tubular furnace, whereas the bodies ‎are heated to about 250c during 30 minutes, then the hardened bodies are milled to a fine ‎powder which consists of granular particles and fibers, finally, this powder is granulated ‎in the shape of spheroidal pellets using a pan-type agglomeration device, the thus ‎obtained pellets are essentially rot-proof and insoluble in water and they are quite suitable ‎as a raw material for the manufacture of building elements such as bricks or as aggregate ‎for the preparation of concrete.‎
