Abstract

The present invention relates to an arrangement for combusting solid fuels, comprising a combustion chamber (3), a grate (10), means for supplying air to the combustion chamber through the grate, a flue gas outlet located at the upper end of the combustion chamber, and means (4) for feeding fuel to the combustion chamber. In accordance with the invention the grate (10) is constructed of tubular elements (41) which are open towards the combustion chamber (3) and through which combustion air is led into the combustion chamber.
