Abstract

A cable is threaded through a firewall body of silicone foam in a cable lead-through by means of a tubular, axially slitted tool, whose driving-in end is provided with a conical driving-in tip. The tool is driven through the body, after which the cable is threaded through the tool and pushes the tip away. When the cable has been drawn through the tool, and thus the body, to the desired extent, the tubular part of the tool, which preferably consists of flexible plastic, is pulled back from the body and removed transversely to the cable so that the line passes through the slit. <IMAGE>
