Abstract

1436295 Vehicle axles HURTH VERWALTUNGS GmbH 18 Oct 1974 [23 Jan 1974 3 April 1974 11 July 1974] 45189/74 Heading B7H [Also in Division F1] A vehicle axle-includes a hydraulic motor 1 (see Division F1) having a stator 4 drivingly connected to one vehicle wheel 8 and a rotor 5 drivingly connected to the other wheel 14. In the axle of Fig. 1 the other wheel 14 is driven via a drive reversing transmission 9-12. Other mechanical transmissions between the motor and the wheels may include step down gearing (30, 31) (Fig. 2, not shown) epicyclic and star gearing (40-46) (Fig. 3, not shown) or a combination of stepdown, epicyclic and star gearing (50-53 )(Fig. 4, not shown). The actuation of brakes 16, 17, e.g. hydraulically, for parking or steering is achieved by operation of control lever 22. The brakes may operate, as shown, on the wheels or on the rotor and stator or the mechanical transmissions.
