يتعلق هذا الاختراع بطريقة لثني حافة حيث يتم ثني حواف عرضية widthwise edges شجـ و شد في لوح فولاذي steel plate ش عدة مرات بواسطة زوج من القوالب dies 23 و 24 أثناء نقل اللوح الفولاذي ش بشكل متقطع بواسطة آلية نقل conveyance mechanism 21 بحيث تخضع الحواف العرضية شجـ و شد في اللوح الفولاذي ش لعملية ثني الحواف على امتداد كامل الطول. ويشتمل القالب السفلي 24 الذي يتلامس مع سطح يقع عند الجانب الخارجي لانثناء الحافة للحواف العرضية شجـ و شد في اللوح الفولاذي ش الذي سيتم ثنيه بين زوج من القوالب 23 و 24، على جزء مسطح 24أ يلامس السطح الذي يقع عند الجانب الخارجي لانثناء الحافة، ويتم إجراء ثني الحافة على الحواف العرضية شجـ و شد في اللوح الفولاذي ش بحيث ينزاح مركز جـ´1 الجزء المسطح 24أ في اتجاه النقل 1 إلى جانب الوصول 3 في اتجاه النقل 1 بالنسبة إلى مركز جـ´2 قوة الكبس pressing force ف المتولدة بواسطة المشغِّل actuator في اتجاه النقل 1. الشكل 10
