Abstract

FIELD: bridge crossing means; collapsible pontoons. SUBSTANCE: collapsible pontoon unit consists of two outer pontoons 1 and two center pontoons 2 articulated together and provided with coupling devices at transoms for connecting the units for erection of floating bridge or ferry boat. Each outer pontoon 1 is provided with flexible collapsible floats 3 extensible from recesses on side of outer board and rigid fairing 4 made in form of triangular prism; fairing 4 is turnable relative to axis parallel to longitudinal axis of bridge floor of unit. When in upper position, one face of prism forms guard for wheel; when in lower position with floats retracted in recesses, fairing is used as extension of outer board of extreme pontoon. As compared with units of pontoon bridge park, collapsible pontoon unit makes it possible to increase lifting capacity by 1.5 to 1.6 times, to enhance stability of floating bridge in stream and to reduce number of pontoon units required for erection of ferry boat. Thus, for crossing tracked vehicles at mass of 50 to 60 tons, two collapsible pontoon units will be sufficient instead of three units of pontoon bridge park. EFFECT: enhanced reliability. 6 dwg

Claims (1)

The invention relates to the field of cross-bridge means, and more particularly, to folding pontoons. A folding pontoon link consists of two extreme 1 pontoons pivotally pivotally connected to each other and equipped on the transoms with butt assemblies for connecting the links to a floating bridge or transported steam. New in a folding pontoon link is that each extreme pontoon 1 on the side of the outer side is equipped with flexible folding floats 3 that are retractable from niches and rigid in the shape of a triangular prism rotatable relative to an axis parallel to the longitudinal axis of the link carriageway, fairing 4, one of the side faces of which in its upper position forms a wheel-bump, and in the lower position of the fairing when the floats are removed in a niche it is a continuation of the outer side of the extreme pontoon. The folding pontoon link as compared with the pontoon link of the PMP fleet can increase the load-carrying capacity and stability 1.5–1.6 times over the course of the floating bridge and reduce the number of pontoon links necessary for assembling the steam ferry. So, for example, for crossing tracked vehicles weighing 50-60 tons, two folding pontoon links are enough instead of three links of the PMP pontoon-bridge park. 6 ill.
