Description

The invention relates to armor protection of vehicles implemented on the basis of serial unarmored trucks with a cabover configuration.

There is a known design for armor protection of cars (RF patent No. 208378 U1), in which armor protection of a modular type of cab is mounted on a frame made of a high-strength rectangular section profile, shaped to follow the contours of the car cab, secured by bolted connections to the front part of the cab, and from the rear part of the cab to power frame with a bracket for bolted connections, which allows for quick installation of protection from perforated armor plate and composite armor with discrete elements. Such armor protection for the cabin of unarmored military vehicles increases the efficiency of their use and protects the driver and crew from damage from bullets and ammunition fragments.

The disadvantages of external armor for a utility model are the difficulty of manipulating quick-detachable structural elements (if any) or the impossibility of doing this by the crew without having to leave the cabin.

The disadvantages of armor on the external frame of the utility model are the inability to quickly dismantle or install dismantled armor plates without leaving the cabin. In addition, access to the under-armor space for repairing or replacing vehicle structural elements is complicated: for some operations (for example, replacing a windshield), it will be necessary not only to remove the armor plates, but also to partially dismantle the frame itself.

There is a known design for internal armor protection of cars (RF patent No. 99866), in which elements of armor protection of the car glass opening are attached with mutual overlap from the side of the car interior using threaded connections. The design does not imply the possibility of quickly improving visibility from the cockpit by displacing/removing some of the armor protection elements.

The purpose of the invention is to create a set of additional armor protection for the crew and important components and assemblies of a cargo vehicle, combining ease of installation, ease of operation and high levels of armor protection.

This is achieved by the fact that the kit includes at least armored panels for protecting the openings of the windshield 1 and glass openings of the cabin doors 2, seat backs 3, the bottom of the doors 4 and the bottom 5 of the cabin, hood 6, fuel tanks, battery compartment and receiver 7. The design of the armor panels for protecting the lower part of the doors from multilayer metal-organic composite material helps to lighten the design of the armor panels, which not only simplifies the installation of the armor panels, but also reduces the load on the fastenings of the hinged protected structural elements of the vehicle.

The presence of a quick access hatch to the battery compartment will ensure hassle-free replacement and maintenance of the battery.
