Abstract
Description
The invention relates to equipment for scientific research and can be used to study the high-temperature conductivity of solids in the temperature range of 30-950 ° C in various gas environments using external optical influences.
The prototype of the claimed device is a high-temperature cell for studying the conductivity of solids (electrolytes) in a given gas environment, in the temperature range up to 950 ° C [V.A. Eremin, Isotopic exchange of gas phase oxygen with oxides based on cobaltites of rare earth and alkaline earth metals. The dissertation for the degree of candidate of chemical sciences. Yekaterinburg, 2018, 173 p. (p. 98)]. The known cell contains a quartz tube, one end of which is tightly sealed, and the other is soldered into a metal flange. A quartz cylinder is placed inside the tube to accommodate the test sample, which is pressed with a quartz rod to measure using a spring. To ensure the conservation of the gaseous medium inside the cell, the quartz cylinder is mounted on a metal flange, which is vacuum tightly connected to the tube flange. To create a given gas medium in the cell, the tube flange is connected to the gas circuit through a separate vacuum-tightly lockable outlet. To heat the cell, necessary for high-temperature studies, the cell is placed in an oven. Using a quartz rod, the sample is pressed between platinum grids serving as electrodes. Current leads are brought out from these grids, which make it possible to record, including by the method of spectroscopy of electrochemical impedance, the magnitude of the current flowing through the sample, and thereby determine the magnitude of the conductivity of the sample.
This cell does not allow us to study the effect of external optical effects on the conductivity of the sample, thereby limiting the development of electrochemical devices and the experimental capabilities of the electrochemical impedance spectroscopy method.
The objective of the present invention is to expand the experimental capabilities of the method of spectroscopy of electrochemical impedance due to the implementation of additional external effects of optical radiation on the sample simultaneously with the effects of temperature and gas medium.
A cell is proposed for studying the high-temperature conductivity of solids (electrolytes), which, like the prototype cell, contains a quartz tube, with a quartz cylinder placed inside it to accommodate the test sample, vacuum-tightly connected to the tube, while the cell has electrodes from which current leads are brought out to record the magnitude of the current flowing through the test sample. The cell is characterized in that the quartz tube is made with a branch for bringing external optical radiation to the sample, and the branch has a window for optical radiation, while the cell is equipped with a furnace for heating it, which contains at least 8 heating elements in the form of rods located on the outer perimeter tubes along the generatrix of the quartz cylinder, while part of the tube with heating elements is placed in a heat-insulating casing.
Unlike the prototype, the claimed cell allows you to organize the flow to the sample not only of temperature and gas exposure, but also external optical radiation. This is due to the branch of the tube, which required a change in the design of the cell, which, unlike the prototype cell, contains a furnace for heating the cell.
A new technical result achieved by the claimed invention is the possibility of additional external effects of optical radiation on the sample simultaneously with the effects of temperature and gas environment.
6.The invention is illustrated in the figure. The cell contains a
Thus, in the proposed cell, it is possible to measure the conductivity of solids with simultaneous exposure to temperature, a gaseous medium, and radiation, which greatly expands the experimental capabilities of the method of spectroscopy of electrochemical impedance.
