Abstract
Description
The invention relates to the development of an epoxy composition for the prompt correction of defects in technological equipment and can be used in various fields in the manufacture of products by injection molding on injection molding machines.
For the manufacture of quality-looking products with specified geometric dimensions and the safe conduct of the technological process of their manufacture, it is necessary to use a defect-free mold: without shells, caverns and tears on the surface of the gate channels.
During the manufacturing and operation of the molds, due to the low quality of the blanks for their manufacture, caverns and tears may be formed, including on the inner surface of the sprue channels, which must be promptly corrected due to the complexity of manufacturing new technological equipment. The use of methods for surfacing metallic materials at the places of defects is impossible due to the effects of warping of thin walls, leading to a violation of the geometry of the mold.
Known epoxy composition for cold curing (patent RU 2386653, C08L 63/02 of 05/12/2009) based on epoxy resin ED-20, hardener polyethylene polyamine, plasticizer (a mixture of dibutyl phthalate and triethylene glycol) and an aerosil filler. The disadvantage of this material is its high viscosity and low heat resistance. This material cannot be used for technical equipment in contact with the melt of a thermoplastic material having a temperature of more than 100 ° C and an injection rate of more than 300 cm 3 / s.
The closest analogue (patent RU 2548090 C1, 02/14/2014) is a composition based on epoxy resin E-40 in combination with dioctyl phthalate, filled with a mixture of ground mica-muscavite with finely divided iron and cured with polyethylene polyamine, taken by the authors as a prototype.
This epoxy composition has high mechanical characteristics, but is designed specifically for operating temperatures from 15 to 70 ° C and cannot be used to seal defects in technological equipment due to the fact that during operation the temperature of the thermoplastic material in contact with the mold reaches 150- 175 ° C.
The technical task of the patented invention is the development of an epoxy composition for the prompt correction of defects in technological equipment by casting, operable at temperatures up to 185 ° C.
ч.:The technical result of the invention is to develop an epoxy composition containing components in the following ratio, parts by weight:
The epoxy composition includes ED-20 epoxy resin DIAN (GOST 1587-84) as a base, which allows to obtain a composition with high physical and mechanical characteristics and a high level of adhesion.
The hardener methylendic anhydride (the product of the interaction of maleic anhydride with methyl cyclopentadiene) and the 1-methylimidazole catalyst provide a high level of physicomechanical characteristics at high temperatures and increased heat resistance.
The absence of fillers excludes the phase of their preparation, dispersion and distribution over the volume of the composition, which simplifies and allows to reduce the technological process of preparation of the composition and ensure the molding properties of the composition.
The proposed epoxy composition cures as a result of the reaction of the epoxy groups of the ED-20 resin with anhydride in a stepwise mode, which allows to achieve a more complete degree of polymerization and, as a result, to achieve higher mechanical characteristics and operating temperature. The strength of the adhesive bonding to the material, the mechanical properties after curing, allow mechanical surface treatment to impart the necessary tooling geometry and surface cleanliness.
Example 1. In the mixer, equipped with a stirrer and heating, sequentially load 100 wt.h. resin ED-20, 80 parts by weight methylenedic anhydride and 1 wt.h. 1-methylimidazole, mix thoroughly at a temperature of 50-70 ° C for 5 minutes and pressure (minus 0.9 - minus 1 kg⋅s / cm 2 ). The finished epoxy composition is discharged into a consumable container and used as intended. The epoxy composition is cured in a stepwise mode: 120 ° C for 2 hours, then 140 ° C for 2 hours.
1.Examples 2-5 are carried out analogously to example 1, but with the ratio of components shown in table 1.
2.The properties of the proposed epoxy composition and prototype are shown in table 2.
The claimed limits of the ratios between the components are determined experimentally and are optimal from the point of view of ensuring the required physicomechanical, adhesive properties of the composition and its heat resistance. Heat resistance by Wick was 185 ° C.
Thus, the proposed composition has satisfactory adhesion to metal, physico-mechanical properties and differs from the prototype increased operating temperature (up to 185 ° C). It does not contain filler, which greatly simplifies and speeds up the technology of its manufacture and allows you to quickly eliminate defects in technological equipment by pouring.
The proposed composition can also be used to seal defects in the technological equipment used in the manufacture of products by extrusion.
The proposed epoxy composition was tested at the Perm State Powder Plant Federal State Enterprise with positive results in the manufacture of a batch of products using the corrected technological equipment.
