Многоцилиндровая поршневая машина объемного действия, в частности, двигатель внутреннего сгорания, содержащая двухцилиндровый блок, выполненный в виде половины кольца, установленные в цилиндрах поршни, жестко связанные между собой и соединенные с общим коленчатым валом с помощью кривошипно-шатунного механизма, отличающаяся тем, что она дополнительно снабжена по крайней мере одним двухцилиндровым блоком, расположенным симметрично в одной плоскости с первым блоком, при этом оба блока размещены в общем корпусе, поршни цилиндров каждого блока соединены попарно между собой и объединены посредством единого маятникового механизма, в центре которого расположена ось качания.1.
