Катализатор для очистки выхлопных газов двигателей, содержащий расположенный в металлическом корпусе блочный, пористый носитель с нанесенным на него каталитически активным слоем, состоящим из платины и/или палладия, по крайней мере одного из оксидов основных металлов, выбранных из группы, включающей щелочные, щелочноземельные и редкоземельные металлы, по крайней мере одного из оксидов переходных металлов, выбранных из группы, включающей железо, никель, кобальт и марганец, отличающийся тем, что каталитически активный слой дополнительно содержит сложные кислотостойкие оксидные соединения основных и переходных металлов, причем по крайней мере один из основных металлов выбирают из группы, включающей щелочные, щелочноземельные и редкоземельные металлы, свинец, висмут, цирконий, а по крайней мере один из переходных металлов выбирают из группы, включающей железо, никель, кобальт, марганец, ванадий, ниобий, молибден, вольфрам.1.
