Abstract
Procedeu de fabricare a acidului sulfuric din gaz cu continut de bioxid de sulf, în special din gaz de furnal rezultat în procesele metalurgice, prin oxidare la troxid de sulf, în prezenta unui catalizator si conversia trioxidului de sulf la acid sulfuric, conform inventiei consta în aceea ca, bioxidul de sulf se separa din gaz sub forma de sulf lichid si apoi, dupa ce este vaporizat, se supune oxidarii la trioxid de sulf cu oxigen în deficit stoichiometric, de preferinta, la un raport molar SO2:O2 cuprins între 9 si 11, bioxidul de sulf neoxidat fiind recirculat cel putin o parte din bioxidul de sulf lichid putînd fi introdus direct în stratul catalitic.
