Wynalazek dotyczy bioczujnika opartego na aktywnej warstwie redoks oraz jego zastosowania do oznaczania białka S100B w próbce. Ponadto przedmiotem wynalazku jest sposób diagnostyki cukrzycy, udaru, nowotworu, przewlekłego zapalenia lub zaburzenia neurodegeneracyjnego z zastosowaniem tego bioczujnika. Korzystnie bioczujnik ma zastosowanie w diagnostyce choroby Alzheimera.
