PLThe present invention relates to a method of preserving a patterned single-color celluloid by means of streaking a celluloid surface with mosaic shapes, or imitating shiny stones, and thus the layer is immeasurably difficult and expensive to obtain the use of ordinary paints. The method according to the invention consists in extruding a hollow in a celluloid to be decorated, and gluing into this cavity by whatever method or by means of patterned celluloid of identical shape with an embossed hollow. After grinding and polishing the whole surface, one smooth surface is obtained. This method differs from the previous methods of decorating celluloid surfaces (combs, staples), where so far the celluloid surface is painted and, artificial stones are packed, or one the layer of celluloid over the second.
