DONDE EL PROCESO COMPRENDE: a) PROVEER UNA MEZCLA ACUOSA QUE CONTIENE AL MENOS UN COMPONENTE INDESEABLE A SER TRATADO; b) DETECTAR UN NIVEL DE pH DE LA MEZCLA ACUOSA; c) SELECCIONAR UN CATALIZADOR BASADO EN EL NIVEL DETECTADO EN (b); d) PONER EN CONTACTO LA MEZCLA ACUOSA CON EL CATALIZADOR SELECCIONADO Y UN AGENTE OXIDANTE A UNA TEMPERATURA ENTRE 240°C Y LA TEMPERATURA CRITICA DEL AGUA O POR ENCIMA DE ESTA ULTIMA, Y UNA PRESION SUPERATMOSFERICA ENTRE 30 ATM Y 275 ATM, PARA TRATAR DICHO COMPONENTE INDESEABLE; e) MONITOREAR EL NIVEL DE pH DE LA SOLUCION ACUOSA; Y, f) RECUPERAR EL CATALIZADOR POR PRECIPITACION. EL CATALIZADOR ES UNO DE METAL DE TRANSICION, TAL COMO COBRE CUANDO EL NIVEL DETECTADO DE pH SE ENCUENTRA DEBAJO DE 2 o ES SUPERIOR A 13 O VANADIO CUANDO DICHO NIVEL SE ENCUENTRA POR ENCIMA DE 4,5 O HIERRO CUANDO DICHO NIVEL ES INFERIOR A 4.
