Abstract
Un proceso para producir un ácido carboxílico aromático, que comprende poner en contacto uno o más precursores del ácido carboxílico aromático con un oxidante, en presencia de un catalizador, dentro de un reactor de flujo continuo, llevando a cabo dicho contacto entre dicho(s) precursor(es) y el oxidante en un solvente acuoso que comprende agua bajo condiciones supercríticas o cercanas a las supercríticas, cercanas al punto supercrítico de tal modo que dicho(s) uno o más precursores, oxidante y solvente acuoso constituyen en la zona de reaccion una fase unica sustancialmente homogénea, donde el contacto de por lo menos parte de dicho precursor con dicho oxidante sucede al mismo tiempo que el contacto de dicho catalizador con por lo menos parte de dicho oxidante.
