Abstract

A box such as a bottle crate (10, 10a) is disclosed comprising a floor and at least two pairs of respectively opposing side walls. A first of the side walls (16b) extends from the floor by a removal height that is lower than the height of one or several of the other side walls in order to allow access to and removal of products contained in the box. The side walls adjacent the first wall (16b) each include a grip opening (28a) having a horizontal portion (50a) and a substantially vertical portion (50b) merged in a curve. The handle (28a) is arranged so that the box can be tilted backwards when carried to prevent bottles tipping out.
