Abstract
Oppfinnelsen angår en dobbelt glassrute med to glassplater eller ruter med et antall avstandselementer eller spacere anordnet derimellom idet et hulrom mellom disse er forseglet i dekomprimert tilstand. Konvensjonelt har glassrutene kanter som er adskilt fra hverandre ved hjelp av en tetning. Under påvirkning av bindekraften fra forseglingen vil det atmosfæ- riske trykket ha tilbøyelighet til å virke mindre mot de ytterste avstandselementene enn mot de andre avstandselementene. Følgelig vil de ytterste avstandselemen- tene ha tilbøyelighet til å bevege seg mellom glassrutene. Ifølge oppfinnelsen er et ytre intervall (L1) mellom hver ytterste rad av- standselementer (2) og en forsegling (4) satt til å være minst lik et basisintervall (LO) mellom den ytterste raden og en andre rad i tilstøtning med denne. Følgelig vil avstandselementene i de ytterste radene bære en større del av det atmosfæ- riske trykket som virker mot glassrutene enn avstandselementene i andre rader. En tilstrekkelig kraft er sikret for å holde avstandselementene i de ytterste radene på plass hvorved unngås at avstandselementene i de ytterste radene beveger seg mellom de to glassrutene.
