Abstract

Løst avfall pyrolyseres uten forhåndsbehandling i et første trinn under rotasjon og transport og under tilførsel av en gass som inneholder minst 40% oksygen, idet det tilføres en understøkiometrisk mengde oksygen, regnet i forhold til de brennbare bestanddeler av avfallet. I et annet trinn smeltes det faste pyrolyseprodukt ved forbrenning av sine brennbare bestanddeler og eventuelt ved forbrenning av pyrolysegasser ved påstrømming med en gass som inneholder minst 40% oksygen. Det tilføres så meget oksygen som er nødvendig for frembringelse av smeltevarmen.
