Abstract

Det beskrives en fremgangsmåte for produksjon av kimfrie, tørkede materialer, spesielt av kimfrie, tørkede nærings- og nytelsesmidler eller deres forprodukter. Her foretas først en desinfisering av det kimholdige materialet med en inertgass, idet man setter vannholdig, kimholdig material i kontakt med en inertgass, fortrinnsvis karbondioksid eller en karbondioksid-nitrogen-blanding. Under denne behandlingen kan det dreie seg om den i og for seg kjente Cell-Cracking-metoden eller om en metode for superkritisk behandling, særlig med ekstraksjon som mål. Fortrinnsvis setter man kimholdig material med innstillet vanninnhold i kontakt med inertgass som fortrinnsvis føres i kretsløp og har et vanninnhold som minst er så høyt at det tilsvarer likevektsdamptrykket i materialet som skal desinfiseres, l tilknytning til desinfiseringsbehandlingen skjer en tørking idet man setter materialet i kontakt med en inertgassblanding, fortrinnsvis karbondioksid eller en karbondioksid-nitrogen-blanding, som føres i et kretsløp og har evne til å oppta vann. Fremgangsmåten egner seg til skånsom desinfisering og tørking av næringsmidler samt også til skånsom desinfisering og tørking av allerede tørkede, men kimholdige materialer.
