Abstract

Denne oppfinnelse vedrører enantiomerene cis-3-(4,6- dihydroksykroman-3-ylmetyl)benzosyrer og fremgangsmåter for fremstilling av slike forbindelser. Forbindelsene er anvendelige mellomprodukter ved fremstilling av optisk rene enantioroere av cis-3-(6-arylmetyloksy-4-hydroksy-kroman-3-ylmetyl)- anilinsulfonamider som er anvendelige ved behandling av astma, artritis, psoriasis, magesår, myokardialt infarkt og beslekte- de sykdommer. Nærmere bestemt vedrører den (3R-cis)-3-(4,6- dihydroksykroman-3-ylmetyl)benzosyre. Den vedrører også en forbedret fremgangsmåte for fremstilling av racemisk cis-3- (4,6-dihydroksykroman-3-ylmetyl)benzosyre.
