Fremgangsmåte for herding av en blanding og en herbar blanding ved anvendelse av minst en novolak-harpiks, minst ett harpiksherdemiddel valgt fra gruppen bestående av substituerte melaminer, minst en forbindelse omfattende minst en gruppe (a), idet nevnte forbindelse ikke har noen metylolgruppe og ingen etergruppe tilsvarende metylol, og/eller minst ett reagens som kan gi en slik forbindelse under herdebetingelsene. Herding av harpiksen forårsakes ved innvirkning av varme.
