Abstract

En digitalsvitsj betjener en flerhet av terminal- enheter for å svitsje signaltrafikk derimellom, idet trafikken ved hjelp av logikk blir oppdelt i datatidsluker og styretidsluker med styrepakker. Den omfatter et svitsjelager (10) for å motta nevnte datatidsluker, et styrelager (12) som inneholder informasjon for å utføre gjennomgående tilkobling av nevnte datatidsluker i svitsjelager- et, en styrelagerterminal (14) for å motta nevnte styretidsluker og styrepakker som er plassert deri, og for å skrive inn informasjon i styrelageret (12), og for å sende ut bekreftelsespakker til oppkalte og oppkallende terminalenheter, samt et opptatt/ikke-opptatt lager (16) som samvirker med styrelagerterminalen (14) og lagrer aktuell status for hver av terminalenhetene. Et køsystem har tilknytning til styrelagerterminalen (14) og nevnte opptatt/ikke-opptatt lager (16), idet køsystemet innbefatter lagerorganer og styrelogikkorganer for, i tilfelle av en første terminalenhet (4B) prøver å etablere forbindelse med en andre terminalenhet (4M), som er opptatt, og effektuere køordning av en oppkallingsforespørsel og utsending til nevnte første terminal en bekreftelse "forespørsel for tilkobling køordnet" og ved mottakelse av en forespørsel om frakobling fra nevnte andre terminalenhet, å dirigere tilkobling av den første terminalenhet til den andre terminalenhet, og utsending av bekreftelser til den første og andre terminalenhet med informasjonen henholdsvis "tilkobling utført" og "forespørsel utført".
