Abstract

En ny praseodym-palladiumoksidfor-bindelse har formelen PrPd0. Forbindelsen har anvendelse som en kataly-sator for oksidasjon av forbrennings-blandinger som omfatter oksygen (f.eks. luft) og gassformige karbonholdige brensler så som metan og oppviser ut-merkede regenereringskarakteristika etter eksponering for spaltningsforår-sakende temperaturer. Forbindelsen kan anvendes i en katalysatorblanding ved at den belegges som et vaskebelegg på en egnet bærer. Katalysatorfor-brenningsprosesser utføres ved å kon-takte en slik forbrenningsblanding med katalysatoren under forbrenningsbetin-gelser, innbefattende katalytisk under-støttet termisk forbrenning. Regenerer-ing av overtemperaturutsatte kataly-satorer tilveiebringes også.
